The district football (8 v 8) championship finished on Sunday. The championship cup was again lifted by the "225" footballers. They defeated "Dangusta" 4:1 in the final. The bronze medals went to the team from Joniškės. In the small final, the team defeated the young children of Pasvalys Football Centre 2:0. Marius Valunta (225), Mindaugas Kivėnas (Dangusta), Denas Šarkiūnas (Joniškėlis) and Aristidas Jaruševičius (FC) were recognised as the best players of the teams. The most reliable goalkeeper award went to Donatas Tamučius (Joniškėlis), the best defender award went to Antanas Karka (225), the best forward award went to Mantas Kazilionis (Dangusta).

The Director of Pasvalys Sports School Rasa Balčiauskienė and the organiser of the championships Vidmantas Kazlauskas gave their greetings and presented the awards. The Head of the Sports School was pleased that football promotes community spirit - during the finals the teams were passionately supported by a large number of fans. She wished that more teams would take part in the district football championships next year.

This year's district football (8 v 8) championship, which started in July, lasted more than two months. Four teams competed.

After the awards ceremony, Deivydas Svalbonas, the 225 team manager, said that the success was primarily due to the preservation of the team's core. The players know each other very well and are very good at playing together. He said that only a couple of new players have strengthened the team this year. The popularity of the Pasvaliai 225 team is evidenced by the fact that it has 21 football lovers in its ranks: Džiugas Trybė, Antanas Karka, Motiejus Simonaitis, Erlandas Piliūnas, Marius Valunta, Daliel Stukas, Eimantas Abramavičius, Jokūbas Jasikonis, Astijus Demenis and Eligijus Tekutis, Tadas Mikolaitis, Karolis Karka, Edgaras Rožukas, Mantas Bereišis, Kristupas Gumbelevičius, Martynas Mažuolis, Arūnas Aglinskas, Kęstutis Vitkus, Dovydas Sirbikė and Deivydas Svalbonas. The list of team sponsors is also large, with more than ten companies and individuals involved in individual activities. Therefore, according to D. Svalbonas, it is time to consider the possibility of competing in the third division of the Lithuanian Football Championship next year.
